At the beginning of 2017, our association applied for a public call announced by the Ministry of Economy of Montenegro with the aim of encouraging the development of clusters in Montenegro for the period 2017-2020. The goal of the support is to help innovative clusters to be more efficient, to help their promotion and to help small and medium enterprises achieve better competitive positions on the national and international market.
At this call, NVUTKA applied with the project “Improvement of conditions for tourist activities through adaptation and reconstruction” and it was approved for implementation. We owe a great deal of gratitude to the Ministry of Economy for trusting us and choosing our cluster as a project partner. We are looking forward to the successful implementation of the project and especially to the recognition of our cluster as a reliable partner.
The project entitled “Improvement of conditions for tourism activities through adaptation and reconstruction” was implemented with a budget of 24,338.74 €, of which the support of the Ministry was 13,994.94 €. The participation of clusters in this project was 57% of the total investment of the project in two activities.
Activity 1: delivery of 50 wooden beds and 50 mattresses for Eko Katun Štavna.
Activity 2: adaptation of the space located directly at the entrance of the hotel Komovi, which until the realization of the project served as a warehouse (4.5 m x 4 m). This room has been redesigned so now it serves as an office space for the needs of the cluster. The room was renovated with new glass roof, two entrance doors, rough construction and finishing works, electrical installation, lighting, network infrastructure, underfloor heating, work desk, reception and shelves.
